Tests

How do you know everything is working? Are you sure your backup plans will get you back in business? You need to test. Test. Test. Test.

Making Testing Easier

How do you attack a big problem? You break it up into smaller pieces. Continuity 6 allows you to approach testing this way. Define a series of tests that will validate the process. Each test can be assigned to multiple staff, systems, and locations.

A test is a definition. This includes the test frequency and the steps to complete the test..
Tests are then attached to one or more Systems. The Test Sectio of the System Update window (See Below) shows the tests asigned to the System.

Each entry here is an instance of the test definition. It can be asigned to any staff member or location. When a test event is added the update action is controled by the Test Setup window (See Below) . For example, if the instance type is set to Shared, all Instances of this test definition will be updated and their Last & Next test dates reset no matter where in the application the test instance exists.

Adding a Test Event

Continuity 6 makes it easy to add test events. Simply highlight the Test Instance and click the Add Test Event button. Select the staff member, result, and add a description and you're done.
